ACCUPLACER Test

Students who wish to register for a career education program take a computerized test called the ACCUPLACER. It is not a pass/fail test and simply measures your academic skills in three areas: reading, writing and mathematics.

The test is designed to help promote your success as a student as it allows the college to determine the best placement in academic classes. The results determine placement in appropriate math and communication courses, and whether you meet the predetermined scores for direct entry into a career training program.

The ACCUPLACER test is untimed and taken on a computer. Most students need approximately two hours to complete the test.

Calculators: A calculator and scratch paper for Accuplacer Testing is provided.

Student must pay the non-refundable fee of $25 for the test at the Cashier’s office (Downtown Campus, Room A210) prior to testing. Please remember to bring government-issued photo ID.

No appointment is necessary as testing is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  All testing takes place at the Downtown Campus unless otherwise noted.

The ACCUPLACER test is offered Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. when the testing center is open.

No Appointment Necessary
