Need assistance funding your education? Scholarships can help!
Scholarships from the Bates Technical College Foundation can provide financial assistance for educational expenses including tuition, exams, books, tools, program supplies and child care. If your financial aid package doesn’t cover all of your tuition, you have student loans or are a self-pay student, the Foundation can help you to focus on your education by relieving financial burdens. Each quarter, generous donors make it possible for the Foundation to offer general, program specific and endowed scholarships.
The Foundation holds workshops every quarter to assist students with their applications. For technical help and tips on how to write essays, attend a session on either the Downtown or South Campuses. Check your Bates email account for the dates, times and locations
of the next workshops.
The spring scholarship application process is now closed.

The Student Success Fund provides support to students who are most at risk of abandoning their education due to financial hardship. The fund is designed to meet specific needs directly or indirectly related to a student’s successful progression through the college. The maximum award is $300 and can be used for emergency expenses such as utility bills, transportation and other needs that may be a barrier to degree completion. Emergency assistance is not intended to pay for tuition, exams, books, tools or supplies.
Students must be enrolled for a minimum of two quarters, in good standing as verified by their instructor and unofficial transcript, and have unmet need confirmed by the Financial Aid office.
Please contact the Foundation office in the Downtown Campus, room 332, for an application to determine eligibility.
