Bates Technical College provides General Education Development (GED®) testing to those who have not completed the requirements to earn a high school diploma and who wish to earn a GED® certificate.
The GED® is a computer based test comprised of four individual tests: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. GED® tests are offered at Bates Monday-Friday in the testing center.
Register online by creating a profile/account at least 24 hours prior to scheduled test times at: www.ged.com or by calling 1.877.392.6433.
Schedule testing dates and times for each of the four GED® exams: Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies. Multiple tests can be scheduled for the same testing date.
Pay for each test with a credit or debit card in the online registration system and confirm your appointments. If you do not have a credit or debit card, reloadable pre-paid cards (MasterCard or VISA) purchased at most grocery or convenience stores are accepted.
On the day of testing, check-in at the Assessment Center 15 minutes prior to scheduled test times with current government-issued photo ID (no ID, no testing). Expired or punched identification will not be accepted.

Approval to Test Form
If you are under the age of 19 and have not yet graduated from high school, you will need to obtain a request for approval to test form from your school district signed and dated by an authorized personnel. Once the form has been signed and completed, bring the completed form to an authorized PEASRSONVUE center. If you have any questions, please contact the Assessment and Testing center for more information. You can also pick up the form from the school district office in which you reside or from your high school’s authorized personnel. Please note that you cannot take the GED® tests if you are currently enrolled in any high school credit program.

If you’d like to request your GED® records, and you tested in the state of Washington, you can submit an online request through www.ged.com.
